Helen Poole - Coach

Age:

26

Hometown:

Cherry Hill, NJ

Sport:

Soccer

Helen has been involved in Special Olympics for 8 years. Starting as a spectator, Helen has now become a coach for Soccer, Basketball, and Track. Helen grew up watching her three brothers play sports and, even though they never let her win when they played at home, she is thankful she always had a challenge. Helen works as an Emergency Room Nurse and has been on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic since the very beginning. She is very glad they Special Olympics has returned to activity and couldn't be happier to be coaching again. Helen also loves walking her dogs, Rosalie and Snyder, going to the beach, and exploring new places with her boyfriend, Al. Lastly, Helen wants to thank her oldest brother, Peter, for inspiring her to get involved in Special Olympics when he started as an athlete in 2014. Peter is her role model and hopes to make him very proud representing New Jersey coaching alongside with her dad, Pete. Thanks, Peter!
